1. Summary
This product bulletin announces the availability of the NetApp NFS
Client Agent v5.0 for Veritas™ Cluster Server (VCS) on a Red Hat Linux® operating
system platform.
The
NetApp NFS Client Agent v5.0 for VCS (NFS agent) is a tool that works with
NetApp storage systems (running Data ONTAP® software) that are used in a VCS environment. In this environment, the
clustered hosts connect with the shared storage on single or clustered NetApp
storage systems over a Network File System (NFS). With the NFS agent, you can
use the storage capability of a NetApp storage system to have an IP-based
solution without an external shared SCSI or FCP disk.

What’s New
The NFS agent v5.0 has the same functionality as v3.1. The
following support is added in this new release:
- Support for VCS v5.0 and v4.1
- Support for the Data ONTAP MultiStore®
feature
- Support for Red Hat Linux 4,
update 5 or later (32-bit/64-bit)
